Solidariteit Helpende Hand

Solidariteit Helpende Hand was established in 1949 in response to the poverty crisis after the Second World War.

Today, our helping hand service extends much further – from children to the elderly – with a specific focus on alleviating, preventing and breaking free from poverty.

We believe the best way to do this is through training and skills transfer, with a particular focus on preventing children from falling into the poverty spiral.

Helping Hand functions within the Solidarity movement as a non-profit company that generates its own funds.

Helping Hand provides food to at least 8 000 children on a daily basis. Without the support of the community, Helping Hand would not be able to do this work.
